Happy Birthday Kinley Elizabeth
Oh my did this year fly by! I can't believe a year ago this little precious girl entered our world, and changed our life. I am almost at a loss for words when it comes to expressing the joy this sweet little girl brings to our life. One look into her blue eyes and my heart just melts. From the moment we found out we were pregnant for a 2nd time within just 9 months I wondered how I would love another baby as much as I loved Caden, but God just took my heart and doubled it. When we found out we were pregnant with a girl I was beyond excited but then I wondered, did Caden need a brother, wouldn't a boy be easier? God showed us that we ALL needed a little girl and this little girl has totally stollen each one of our hears. Watching Kinley with her daddy just about brings me to tears daily...when she hears that door open at night and she see's her daddy come in she will settle for nothing less to be in his arms, even if she is in the middle of dinner, she needs her daddy to hold her. Caden talks in his high sweet voice to "sis" and loves to do funny things and make her laugh. He has recently started going up to her and giving her a big hug and a kiss and saying, "I love you and be gentle cause you a girl, no tackle"...I think he's getting this girl thing down :). He adores her even if she has started taking his toys away. I am still just totally smitten over having a littler girl to dress up, to be girly with and to watch that sweet girly personality shine oh so bright. I am looking forward to pedicure dates, shopping dates and all the the other girly things we will get to do together! Our world has totally been rocked and we are just in awe of God's Goodness!
Kinley is just loving life and keeps herself busy! Her little personality is starting to shine! She likes to take everything all in and explore things on her own. However, she has a very helpful brother that likes to help her explore most everything. Thankfully, for the most part, she loves her brother and thinks he is pretty funny but if she needs to she can hold her own! Kinley loves baby dolls, books, purses, balls and cars/trains (imagine that) Caden will be rolling his "choo choo's" around and the wood floor and not far behind him will be Kinley crawling along with a truck or a train following Caden! It's pretty funny to watch. Kinley has been a crawler for 6 months so she gets around great! She has actually started walking too, a little over a week ago she decided she would just stand up in the middle of the floor and take 6 steps. She does it off and on through out the day but the other night she took 13 steps across the room! It's so crazy to see little miss Kinley walking across the floor. . .shouldn't she just be learning to sit?!?
My dear Kinley, YOU have made the last year one of the best years of our lives. You and your brother rock our world and we are blessed to be your parents. Your sweet little personality and your sweet little smile that lights up your face brings us more Joy then you will ever know! Happy Birthday my little one year old!
